Comments about Netgear Adapters; N150 Micro USB Adapter:
I bought this adapter after my wireless and ethernet adapter stopped working on my Lenovo T400. Initially, I thought it was a software issue when my wireless stopped working but after experiencing the same issue with the ethernet connection, I think it's a hardware issue. Almost considered buying a new laptop but wanted to see if a replacement adapter would postpone that investment and I'm glad I took that route. I was a bit skeptical on how the adapter would function, given its small size and relatively inexpensive price, but it has performed well. It's very compact and unobtrusive, so I don't have to take it out when I stow my machine in the bag. Software came on a mini CD and was simple to install and I was up and running very quickly. Haven't noticed any difference with download speeds versus my previous setup. No complaints!
Works Well and takes little space

Netgear G54/N150 solved the problem when my Toshiba Satellite laptop built in wireless stopped working along with the FN key. A Staples Tech said the minimum charge would be $370 to replace the mother board. The Installation of the NETGEAR G54 was extremely quick, easy, and inexpensive fix. Connection to internet is excellent and nice graphics to illustrate connection status. Iliked it so much I bought another one for my daughter who had a similar problem with her Toshiba Satellite

I bought this for my mom, she was using her older laptop. My dad had an extensive stay at the hospital. My mom was not able to hook up to the hospital Wi-Fi because of the older Wi-Fi adapter on her laptop. She used her phone as a hotspot, using her limited data plan. I bought this for her and it set up easily. She was able to connect quickly and it helped her to make use of all of the free time in the waiting room. I was really pleased with this purchase. It was affordable and it does a good job.
Certainly would buy this again

This adapter eliminated a lot of conflict in my house. I had no trouble getting on the Internet, but local traffic was causing my husband's computer to drop off the network -- which caused me to have a lot of grief (untechy husband= whiney). Since installing, he has had no problem, and I have not had to put up with tantrums.

I bought this for service work I do on other peoples computers. Was a cheap solution to eliminate cables for PCs without built in wireless.
Would buy again

My modem in an older laptop quit working again, I replaced it twice. This time I decided to put a USB modem in and try it. It was less expensive than the one inside and far easier to put in! I will never waste time and money replacing a modem when it decides it no longer wants to work! I can still use the Internet on my 12 year old Dell. Some programs do not work with the new computers.
Sorta OK

When you reboot or come out of sleep mode, you have to restart the wireless network connection. Otherwise it has worked fine.
Happy with product, but needed tech help

The help we got from Netgear, didn't get the product installed. We received help from another source, who was able to connect our printer and our desktop computer to the product. We have 2 notebooks that were connected with the router, but the desktop runs XP and was complicated. We were fortunate to have this other technical source. Netgear technical source was not helpful when we were connecting the Netgear router, either. Our internet provider helped us with that, Netgear advised us to get a new printer. Our internet provider cheerfully helped us get our notebooks and our printer up and running on our Netgear router. Netgear products are very good, their technical support, not so much!
