I rented a vacation home for a month. The owner provided a cable modem. I have two laptops, a printer, and a Roku (for streaming video). So I bought this switch thinking I could connect everything to the internet. It didn't work because, as I later discovered, I needed a router between the modem and the switch. The ROUTER is a REQUIREMENT. This fact is not clear from the information on the box. Once I connected a router, I realized that I did not need this switch, since the computers, printer, and laptop connected to the router and worked perfectly. I should add that "as a switch" this product works fine.

Does just what it says: Easy set-up & connection. Allows quick access to network, VoIP phone lines, internet, etc. without any problems. No tech degree required.

Fairly easy to set up following the instructions. Improved performance dramatically over my old router. Is working with multiple computers, IPod Touch and Blu-Ray player. No problems so far.
