This router is real fast, easy to set-up and well engineered.
Although this is a top-notch feature-heavy consumer router, I had this running in just a few minutes out of the box. Using the simple color-coded A-B-C setup, a novice (like me) or an expert, can have this router setup and running very quickly.
I have multiple computers and they all connect at high speeds.
Speed Test gives amazing download and upload speeds.

Pros:

- Feature rich, high-performance.
- Nice vertical stand included.
- USB storage feature turns your external drive into a network share.
- Dynamic DNS, firewall, features.
- Easy to upgrade the firmware and it will automatically check for updates.
- Good documentation.
- Ability to set up "guest" network with separate settings in addition to your main network.

I bought this router for my parents. They bought a new TV with internet access so they could get Netflix. Their internet connection speed is only 768k and with this router they have been able to stream movies on TV with no problems. I did run an Ethernet cable from the TV to the router so I cannot say how the router would preform over WiFi but the laptop and iPhone are getting the full internet speed when checked using speedtest.net. I have talked to my parents several time since we installed the new router and they said they have not had any trouble with the internet or streaming. This is a great router and I plan to replace my own router with one of these.

This router was purchased to replace an older Linksys wireless unit that refused to provide WiFi service to several Andriod smart phones. Unexpectedly, our whole home network experienced dramatic speed increases. Not only were the smart phones connecting quickly and easily, but also several laptops that were not hard wired into the home network. Fast and responsive connections throughout the entire network. I wished I had realized just how slow our old system was functioning because there was such a dramatic improvement when we replaced the router.

switched from Cisco systems router and range extender which constantly dropped the signal. I was ready to go to a bigger service due to instability of internet when it was suggested by a tech that I try Netgear again as they have really improved. I tried it and I am getting ready to change my office over to a Netgear system, again from a cisco router which has become less than dependable and short range in spite of great internet service provider .
