Comments about Netgear N300 Wireless DSL Router:
Pretty good item, not to bad to set up. Terrible customer service could not understand the person I was talking to, must have out sourced the customer service.

This product is very good but will only work in a very small environment. Other comparible products work further away.

Bought it to replace a worthless 2-Wire
By John R

So far, after more than a month, this one is doing well. It replaced a 2-Wire router from Windstream; that one became erratic and died after only a year or so. Setup was easier than expected. I was not looking forward to installing some program from the CD that came with it, but that proved totally unnecessary. The thing practically set itself up. We use it for a home network including 4 PC's, a couple of tablets, and a Roku. Our Windstream connection is supposed to deliver 6 Mbps, and it usually does. Whenever there is a problem with streaming, the fault lies with Windstream and not this router. We are hoping it holds up better than the 2-Wire. On its first day of use, the Netgear router produced a small circuit-board odor that made us wonder, but it did not persist. We do notice that it always feels warm, but it does not seem to be overheating and continues to perform well.
