We shortened the sides, turned them sideways and put 2 in a legal file drawer.

Works as advertised. Replaced the manufacturer's hooks that were always falling off; no problems here!

We cut the runner to make half of the drawer letter sized and the other half legal sized so it took care of all of our filing needs using a 2 drawer legal file. In other words, the letter size were in sideways and the legal were in from front to back in half of the drawer. It took 4 file frames (2 for each drawer).

Have used other frames in the past that break after three or four years. Used for heavy file storage and this frame seems far better than others.
