Comments about Olympus VN-702PC Digital Voice Recorder:
The audio quality from the internal speaker is poor. The only way to acheive good quality sound is to copy the files and play the recording from a computer.

Perfect for busy mom/student

This recorder has 5 files to record to and I am able to keep my class lectures separate as well as my conversations and diary. The batteries last. I accidentally left it plugged into my computer and it did not drain the batteries at all. Easy to use when busy, such as driving. No need to look for buttons. They are big enough and colored so the eye can pick up on them quick.
An all purpose voice recorder

WOW!! I was amazed at the quality, sound and ease of USB downloading of files. MP3s from 192k to 48k, and WMA files for less quality but longer recording. Even at MP3 192k, one folder will record for 23 hours!! No distortion and plenty of variable settings to get everything just right. You have to plug it in to your computer to get the full manual. Without it, you won't know 1/4 of the stuff it can do. Go through the manual carefully and your results will be fantastic!!

About Me Midrange Shopper
It took a little longer than I liked to figure it out, but now that I'm using it a lot, it's great! Works well, good sound quality. We set it on the pulpit during out church services and it picks up the entire sermon, clearly, eveb though the Pastor moves about the front stage a lot.
pretty simple device

This is my first voice recorder. It's a pretty simple device. Instructions are minimal, so it took me a few tries to figure out how to use it.The only drawback I've encountered so far is that you can't organize your files within each folder, so when you want to go back to one you pretty much have to guess which it is. I think most voice recorders at this level are similar.

Great quality

This product met my all of my expectations. I was looking for a tape recorder for my nursing lectures, and was actually on my way to buy another brand when the sale associate suggested this brand. I'm glad I chose this brand because its easy to use, the recording quality is very clear, it's small enough to fit into my purse, and it really does reduces background noises, not to mention, I received a $10 rebate. I haven't used it with my PC yet, but this was one of the reasons why I chose this model.
Much easier & efficient than last model.

This model is easier to download to my laptop. I was able to find the file much quicker than with my old model. The quality of the recording seems comparable to my other Olympus.
