Panasonic KX-TS4100B 4-Line Phone

About Me Value Oriented
Comments about Panasonic KX-TS4100B 4-Line Integrated Phone System:
I like the phones but in the features it says it has caller ID and it is not one of the features on the phone. That was a little frustrating and I'm not sure how you would go about letting them know that the feature listings are wrong. Other than that, it is a great phone for what we use it for.

About Me Professional
Allowed us to eliminate an old PBX system that no longer worked well. Using six phones on three lines and have had no problems. You can here a little bit of the conversation on another line sometimes but it is very slight and has not been a problem. Very easy to install. Have had no other issues.

Don't Waste your money
By Dave
from Sacramento, CA
Purchased to use as a speaker phone. The mic cuts in and out so the other party often times can not hear. I was very surprised that a phone with such a large LCD screen does not have caler ID. The backup battery goes dead after a few minutes of being unplugged.
Poor Functionality
By Larry "Due"

This was a terrible waste of money. The phone is simply defective - works less than 25% of the time I used for calls. Work from a home office, and wanted the 4-line capability as business was expanding beyond our two-line current capacity. The phone never worked as well as the old Panasonic analog I had. Cuts out while talking, sometimes never gives any sound to other end - so you end up saying, "Can you hear me now?" over and over again. I purchased online through a reputable company, however they refused after 30 days to take back for refund. Called Panasonic and they said if I send in at my own buck, they'd look at it, but it did not sound like they would do anything, since it was intermittent. Arrrgh.

Panasonic does it again with this one, definitely the best quality multi-line phone around.

Read the features
By Johny
I understood why I received such a good deal on this phone, and when I say good deal I mean unbelievable. So I guess because of the price it was worth it but the lack of caller ID and the fact that it hangs up randomly makes it hard to recommend. The main use for this phone is to have an integrated system up to 16 lines however I was only able to find one phone at the discounted rate and the regular price is not at all worth it.

poor dial function and poor sound
By Small Business Owner
from New Haven, CT
I returned this phone after one day of use. There is an irritating and slow delay between pressing the keypad number and the internal dial response tone. This delay varies in time regardless of your dialing speed. If you dial at a reasonable speed you have to wait for the phone to catch up. All the employees were irritated by this. [...]In addition, the handset is(apparently)uninsulated and when in use does not block out surrounding sounds. (I covered the mouthpiece to confirm.)These are poorly designed units, that look good, but function badly and should be avoided.
