        Got this for a 7-yr-old. He loves it! I would also consider getting one for myself for travel. It holds a lot of supplies (pencils, eraser, sharpener,book, etc)and gives good surface support for a crossword puzzle addict like me.

              I have been using this clipboard daily for about three years during field inspections. I have dropped it, kicked it, thrown it (accidentally) and it always holds up. The two side compartments have become damaged over time, but still function. Holds good amount of paper inside.
