    I like a sharp pencil, but I don't like looking for working sharpeners; therefore, I prefer mechanical pencils to wood pencils. I keep several available where I am writing at work or at home. I have at least one mechanical pencil in each of my briefcases and on my desks; therefore, I constantly need a ready supply of lead. I like fine lines, so my pencils are all 5mm. I always purchase a new box of lead before my supply is used completely. Pentel leads were not what I was shopping for, so this was an impulse purchase that was practical and appropriate.

    For everyday use hard lead is too hard and makes holes in some papers! It is very difficult too find softer lead in stock.
