The pens are cheap - in more ways than one. I had a few clicker parts that caused the pen not to click down. I was able to pull the cap off and bend the clicker out, but this is a flaw in the design. Also, sometimes when you first start to write, the pen seems like it's out of ink, but then it picks right up. It's a good writing pen, it's just a matter of getting it going at times.
