I use these refills in all my Dr. Grip pens and like the way they write. I write up a lot of invoice slips and really like the speed inwhich I can write with them.

Even tho the ink can smear easily....it's best to allow the paper to dry for a few seconds to avoid the smearing. The pen glides so easily while writing. Almost effortless. For seniors it is excellent because it has a wider cushioned grip and requires hardly any effort to write with. Anyone who has arthritis in their hands should use this pen. I am a home health physical therapist. I must have a patient sign a form each time I treat them. Every one of them will ask me where did I get this pen or can I have your pen!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say that the ink smears easily, but I do sometimes need to blow on it or set it aside for a minute, depending on the type of paper I'm using. We're talking seconds, not minutes, but still, you do have to be careful. But I still like the flow of these particular pens. And I like that they are refillable rather than ball-point throw-aways.

Origianally I tried this product out of loyalty to Pilot Pen's lengthy past sponsorship of the professional tennis tournament in New Haven, CT. But, once having tried the product, I grew to appreciate its superiority as a good fountain pen over the standard run of the mill pens. I now use it regularly for business purposes.

This is a great writing pen, but I find myself buying refills much too frequently. Unfortunately, I've tried other pens and refills and don't like them nearly as much.

This is an expensive habit!

I love these pens. I've been using them for years and I intend to continue doing so. Although they can smear a little if you use them on glossy paper, if you allow them to dry for a few seconds it's usually fine. I'm a student, so I take a lot of notes with them and they glide smoothly over the paper. When you're trying to keep up with what the teacher is saying, you need something with which to write quickly. I also love the fact that they are refillable. I hate pens that you use once and then toss out. It's such a waste!
