Comments about Pilot Precise V5 Retractable Rollerball Pens; Extra-Fine Point, Black:
This pen is a great value, at the bulk price.
It only seems to have a few minor drawbacks. If you leave the pen sit around unused for a few weeks the tip will clog up eventually. If you write a large amount, the pen does seem to run out of ink a bit quickly. If you try to write on an unstable surface like a napkin, the nib will pick up the lint, and that will make the rest of your writing with that refill cartridge be wider, look more sloppy, and the ink runs out much faster.
The pen is very precise and is highly suitable for fine work. The rubber grip is quite comfortable, even for long writing sessions, or for highly detailed work. It is very well balanced in the hand. The ink is relatively stable once it is dry. It is easy to refill, and refills are common.
One thing that I insist on is that the ink dries so quickly that it doesn't smear under your hand, and this ink is very quick drying. I write daily, usually for an hour or two, and this pen has relieved some of my hand cramps that I used to get on a daily basis. I have had a pocket clip break off on me one time, but then you aren't supposed to get them caught on clothing that you are taking off either.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
