I collect fountain pens and have always liked the way they write. However, in the past, the cheaper ones were a waste of time and money with twisted nibs or dried ink. I write a lot in longhand and these pens never disappoint.

These pens write as smooth as some of my pens that costs me hundreds of dollars. After a few months of use, I have never had one skip regardless of the paper used.

I TOOK A CHANCE WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THESE PENS... NOW I AM HOOKED. MY HUSBAND KNOWS I LOVE PENS... AND I NOW ONLY BUY THESE BECAUSE THEY COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS, GIVE THE LOOK AND FEEL OF A MORE EXPENSIVE PEN, AND WHEN IT STOPS WRITING --IT'S NOT BECAUSE IT SKIPPED... IT'S BECAUSE IT HAS RUN OUT OF INK. I EVEN USE THEM AS GIFTS FOR TEENAGERS--- THEY SEEM TO REALLY BE INTRIGUED WITH THE WHOLE FOUNTAIN PEN CONCEPT.

The Pilot Varsity disposable fountain pens are a great value, and write as well as many fountain pens that are much more expensive. If they were refillable, even if costing a few dollars more, they would be well worth it.
