This is a great product, it is very user friendly, and the software is easy to install and understand. It makes quality digital images of your photos and documents. The only difficulty I have had with using this particular scanner is that sometimes some of the more glossy photographs slip or get stuck as they are being fed through the scanner, making the images distorted. I am not sure if this is a problem that is due to the scanner or due to the nature of glossy photos. Otherwise, it functions beautifully.

Couple of glitches with software when first installed, using with Windows 7 Pro 64bit system USB cable needs to be held in place. cant link with office 2013.
I cleared out older files turning them into PDF's now documents and procedures go from a 8 inch stack of paper down to a DVD.
find documents very easily based on the file name. set up a hyperlink index to speed up the document search.
form letters are easy to bring up in PDF then edit and add text to personalize work with minimum effort. I have not used the scanner for photos yet, but do plan to.

Love this lil scanner. I was concerned that it would be hassle if I had several pages. You scan one page and can automoatically scan the next without touching any buttons. It auto feeds as soon as you load the next sheet. Pretty cool.

This portable scanner is great for someone whose office is on wheels. It fits easily in my laptop bag and sets up in seconds. The physical size of this scanner is very deceiving for the size jobs it performs.

The initial set up of this scanner was the easiest hardware accessory set up I have yet encountered. The only thing easier than the set up is using this scanner. Not being dependent on having an electrical outlet in order to scan any standard sized office document or the smallest of sales receipts and business cards has really made keeping organized much easier.

I got this to replace my previous scanner (A plustek model that was not compatible with Windows 8). It's a nice scanner for the price but I wish it were faster. It's very small and unobtrusive.

Feeding paper is not that easy. I get a lot of misfeeds or feeds where the paper is not "grabbed" and I have to try it all again. This is enough of a problem that I am now looking to find a better scanner for use at my desk.

Bought this to use with my laptop and my laser printer. Did not want to buy an all-in-one. This is portable and when the fax machine was not working I just scanned and e-mailed documents. I may not go back to faxing as this does not depend on the use of the telephone line. Very easy to use, just plug it into your computer put your paper in the scanner and push the button. Then e-mail, print or fax the copy. Also scanned document can be saved to any folder you wish. Good buy, and I like the Brother products.
