We try to fold daily statements. Usually about 80 - 100 per day. This thing is finicky and touchy. And, the catcher doesn't work very well at all. More than 10 to 20 sheets of paper will jam. Plus you need to keep taping the papers you have to get them to auto feed. Basically, not worth the money at all. Keep looking.
I bought this at the last miniute for a huge mailer we were doing with the necessary help from voluinteers. I was able to quickly get all of my letters folded with ease. The two-page letters needed to be hand fed but it was still quicker than hand folding. Now that I've got the hang of it (it took a little while),I can fold anything...and fast!
This looks like a slightly updated version of what we have, model #7200. I use it to fold our three-paneled, plain-paper brochures. It does fold them, but I have to hold the paper down the whole time to keep it lined up. Till I got the hang of that, the first couple of brochures in every run came out looking like origami. And still, the folding is never quite accurate--I usually end up with 1/16" to 1/8" hanging off the bottom. The paper catcher doesn't catch the folded papers properly. Also, it says it can accept 50 sheets of paper at a time, but it's really more like 25. The only plus is, it's better than doing them all by hand!
