I replaced an earlier slim line pointer

About Me Quality Oriented
Comments about Quartet Slim Line Executive Laser Pointer:
The first one I bought worked well for several years before becoming inconsistent in producing a functional pointing light. I bought the same model just assuming something had happened to the earlier one, and I wanted to be able to reuse parts. On my first real use I already had problems getting it to come on; thank goodness it's under warranty.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

TAKE NOTE:Takes AAAA batteries, not AAA
By Kim the Administrative Assistant
from South Pasadena, CA
Please take note: the description for this laser pointer states that it takes "AAA" batteries. That's incorrect. It takes 2 "AAAA" batteries, which do come with the laser pointer. I made the mistake of ordering extra "AAA" batteries, only to find they're the wrong size.

About Me Quality Oriented, Value Oriented
There are cheaper laser pointers that would do the same job, but I like this one because it has a solid feel and it will probably last longer because of its all metal construction. To me, that's worth the extra cost.Push the button to turn the beam on, release to turn it off. Does not allow you to lock the beam on, which is probably good from a safety standpoint.Easily viewed from long distances even in brightly lit areas.
