This is my 3rd review. The first few of these I purchased were great and then snap, something changed. The last one I got is just the like the one before. I'm at 43% of the cartridge life left and now I have to shake the cartridge after every 10 to 15 or so copies to re-distribute the toner. The last toner I got did this and I figured I'd give it another go. But sadly, same results. It is now time to go back to a dell cartridge. I may have to pay more for it, but the 3000 pg toner seems to last the best and is a better deal than buying this toner that no longer works after it's down under 50%. It used to work very well. Seems they changed where they had them made! Don't buy this one.

Since I last commented on this product in 2011, I have used this product repeatedly on my Dell. This last cartridge however was a disappointment. At 33% left, I had to start shaking the cartridge else the print was very sparse and almost gone by the 4th or 5th document. So now I have to shake the cartridge after 10 pages or so to keep a clean copy. I don't know if this is a fluke or if something has changed in their manufacturing of this product. It's still a good buy, but if quality doesn't improve, I may go back to Dell cartridges (std). These used to run right down to nothing and I wouldn't have to shake it until it got under 10% or so. Disappointed this last go around and hope the other one I just purchased will have better longevity.

In comparison to the Dell brand toner, this is a better value for the money. The life of the cartridge is better than the Dell High Yield. I never thought the dell high yield was any better than the standard yield. Dell's standard typically lasted us a month or two. The Quill brand has been going for almost 2 months already and still shows over 50% left. I was skeptical when I made this purchase but will purchase again.
