We tried using a lower priced compatible toner, but the ink smeared. Wish Samsung had a longer lasting product. We generally only get 2 months per catridge, but the quality is always good.

        The toner is pretty good except that the life of it is not that good considering how much printing I do. I have a different brand laser printer at my second job and it last much longer and I print more as well. It is easy to install, makes good copies.
