I purchased this cartridge for my model SCX-4826FN. When I first inserted the toner, it told me that the toner was invalid. I compared the 2 cartridges and realized that the new 209L had 3 additional electrodes. When I covered the electrodes with tape it accepted the cartridge. It appears to work, but hopefully the tape will not interfer with the printer's operation. Without this information and being supplied with an appropriate "patch", I could not recommend this product for an scx-4826FN machine.
