This Expansion drive was extremely easy to set up. Out if the box it was plug and play. The usb 3.0 interface is a definite plus versus usb 2.0. I have yet to utilize the 3.0 transfer speed because I don't have usb 3.0 yet. I have it connected to my router via the usb 2.0 port and it performs perfectly. I'm able to stream movies from this drive using a Gigabit LAN server also connected to my router. The expansion drives speed works so well, that there is no buffering during movie. Once the movie starts, there is an initial buffer, then it's smooth sailing. I can only imagine how well this will perform once I upgrade to usb 3.0.
