I purchased the Seagate back drive because it appeared to be easy to set up, in which it was, it was compact to carry with me if need be. When I installed it I just love the way I could create various files and folders to be stored and redirect other files and folders to the back up drive, and I could save the back up drive to my deck top and work from there. I can move the folders or files from one place to another if I made a mistake when creating a folder. I have tones of documents that needs to be scanned and saved to my back up drive and when doing this, I notice I still have a lot of space left on the back up drive and I am still scanning documents to the back up drive. If I need to purchase another one I will surely get this Seagate back up drive. I just love it.

I bought the Seagate Backup Plus drive to backup my computer before a defective hard-drive was replaced. It did the job well and was easy to use. I plan to use it for backing up regularly.

So far so good. Lots of storage in a very small package. Product has been very reliable. Easy to transport, easy to hook up, and easy to use. Nice that no external AC power supply is needed. A bit of a longer connection cord might have been nice...

I had another brand external hard drive for back up that started to fail, so thought it was time for a new one.
I have used Seagate internal drives for years without any problems so thought I would give this unit a try.
I was very apprehensive at first about a unit without external power and USB only, but this drive has no problems at all.
Very easy to setup and backup my files. First time I have used a USB3 drive and beings my computer has USB3 ports, it is so much faster than the USB2 drive I had before.
The Seagate dashboard software is very easy to navigate in and so much easier than my last drive.

Pretty good product. I have 3 pc's backed up on this and it wasn't at all difficult. Each computer backup is named with the name of the computer. 2 of the pc's are pretty close in name so it is a little confusing but it works. I'm not real sure how to change the name either so i'll live with what i have. Cheap and okay on the size. It will be cheaper in a month i know but it was needed for all of our pictures from the last 5 years. It also has a cloud option but it costs extra money and what is the point if you are buying a drive.
