I am a writer/editor, retired college teacher and government administrator. I HATE the common ballpoint pen ~ all manufacturers! A longtime fountain pen writer and fanatic, I stumbled onto the Pilot PreciseGel .O7 when fibre tipped pocket pens were all the rage ~ and actually useful. However, fibre pointed pens do not transfer well for duplicate copies of documents, so I went looking for a "hard point" pen. Eeny-meeny-miny-mo put my hand on the Pilot PreciseGel .07, probably because I had been half-won over by the Pilot .07 pens...and I had never used gel. I did what all sampler do: I signed my name ~ and was astounded, soon won over. I have used this pen from about the time it was introduced and have never been disappointed. And to you imagine I like being able to purchase refills for it instead of buying a new pen? You bet! The Pilot PreciseGel .07 is my go to and close by pen all day, every day of each week. I rarely use a fountain pen any longer unless writing personal letters of consequence...and even then, I sometimes use the Pilot PreciseGel. There is no 'modern' competition for it.

We use the King Size Sharpies for our sinage at the stores and we love them!!! These markers are the best that we have found, they last forever and keep a well formed tip.

We use them to write on concrete cylinders before submersing them in water. Tip of marker last longer than any other and ink does not fade.

Big, bold, bright markers. They write on nearly everything you want them to and some things you don't. If you happen have a clumsy day, you might wind up with permanent marker on surfaces like your desk or your clothes. Pretty impossible to erase/remove. The ink lasts a long time if you remember to replace the cap after each use.

i work for a perishable company under really hard weather conditions: freezer most of the time. the shrpies are great. they last for years, dont smear, easy to read. only con is they dry out a bit fast, but can not really blame it since the weather conditions are not normal either.
