About Me Midrange Shopper
Comments about Quill Brand 13196QL Leather Task Chair; Black:
We recently purchased several without arms and the rest with arms for the office. (10 total)Not bad for the price we paid. The ones without the arms, the seat will not stay in the up position. Falls to the lowest position.Very light, they roll across the wood floor on their own.
Not quite satisfied

The chair is easy to assemble, but the pieces are not attached. The chair can not be lifted without the seat coming off the column which comes off the wheeled based. Also, the chair losses height as I sit on it, and I am not over the "weight limit".

it a chair

its a chair, not a great chair, but it does the job. it does need more padding and we did need to re-attach the back but that may have been us not putting it together correctly, but at the end of the day, its a chair and i'm not sore from sitting on it all day. I'll probably add some sort of a cushion to it in the future but for now its fine.
Not as good as expected.

I am the secretary for a general practice attorney. I work an average of 5 hours a day and unfortunately sit most of the time. I was in desperate need of a good chair when my favorite, three year old chair broke. I extensively shopped and read all the reviews before making a decision to purchase this chair. Based on the reviews, I thought I had made a good decision. WRONG! There is little padding in the seat; not even 3 weeks in and I can see the impression of the bolts through the padding. There is no lumbar support; the seat back is completely flat. And as others have said (but not a real priority for me), the cover does not appear to be genuine leather.
Comfortable Chair

I have had fabric chairs in the past very similar to this one. I am hoping that the leather seat lasts longer than the fabric. It is comfortable and the height adjusts. You can also adjust the back of the chair, if needed.
Love my new chair!

Love this chair! It put together in a snap (directions made sense!), the back support is nice and sturdy, and it rolls across the floor like a bowling ball in butter. Plus, the price is great!

Rolling Along

I recently had to move my office to my home because of construction; so needed a chair. Didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ so this was a perfect choice. It's comfortable and allows me to move from desk to files easily. It did tip over one day, but I may have leaned over too far which unbalanced the chair. Fortunately it isn't too far from seat to floor.

Easy Assembly (for visual learners)

This chair is very comfortable and rolls extremely easy. I had no problem putting in together with the picture directions included. However, it may benefit some to have written directions also. I am a short person and have trouble finding chairs that I can sit all the way back in comfortably and not have my feet dangling. This chair is the perfect depth for me and adjustable so I can adjust for my limited height.
