We use this for student files, so they are handled a lot. The tab stands up high enough that writing isn't covered by paper. Over time, the edges will soften and fray, so we usually don't use them to store long-term. My biggest complaint is that the colors represented online are nothing like what I received. The actual colors are a dusty-pastel that are sickly looking. I may return them for something brighter.
