I purchased this product at Staples thinking that it would be the same one that I also purchased from Staples the year before, and to my surprise, it in fact was not the exact same product that I had bought the year before. When I got home, I noticed that this product had a cover with a rubber-like strap in case you want to take with you. The one I had purchased the year before did not have this on it, but it will do the job just as well. I later found out that I can stil find the original product online, but this was the only one they had carried in the actual store.

I believe that this file is over priced but regardless - I buy one every year. It's the best way to file important papers in a way that they can be quickly found again.

I have seen other files that are nicer with more dividers for less than half the cost of this thing. The only thing different being one is A through Z and the one I baught is Jan through Dec. What makes a file with 12 dividers (Dec through Jan) cost alot more than one with 21 dividers (A through Z). I can not sort that one out.

Last year I bought a similar plastic container, but you can't write on it and labels don't stick. The plastic ones are less expandable and less flexible, also do not stand up.

This paper/cardboard based folder works much better.
