Why all file companies don't make this the standard for file systems is beyond me. If your files are below eye level the FILE NAME pops out because it is printed on top of the tab. If the file is eye level it works like all other file tabs. If you are standing in a position behind the files you can still see the FILE NAME.
The program allows the tabs to be printed in color or black so you can tell at a glance what type of file it is according to your color code system. The tabs stand above the files so they do not steal space. The program to print the tabs comes with the initial package. Print, peel and stick the label to the tab. Then just insert into the hanging file like any other plastic tab, but this is far superior.

I use this system at work as well as at home. I can find items almost instantly and don't have to rummage through a file drawer trying to read the labels. It is easy to use, color codable, and makes your file cabinet a work of art! It is a little more expensive to use but the extra cost is worth the result.

I went to a class on organizing and this product was the focus of the Professional Organizer (a 20 year veteran of the business).

Her short-term, tote-able file system uses about 25 of these tabs on hanging folders.

Her long-term filing system is a non-toteable filing cabinet which is the permanent file for your family. It uses as many tabs as you need to get the job done, BUT sorts those into only about 7 main categories (Medical, House, Cars, Finances, etc.) so you can reference your items more readily.

All in all, I will probably use about 100 of these tabs when I am FULLY done organizing. I will feel SO great, as paper organization is NOT a strongsuit for me (as can be seen by the 20 or so cardboard boxes awaiting my attention)!

And it will be pretty (because you choose your very own colors on your color printer)!

Have used these at other jobs & love them. Have ordered them for home use as well. Great for finding files easily. Helps keep folders in order. We pull the file folder & leave the hanging file in the drawer. Lets us know when someone has a file out.

Tabs are not high enough to view them clearly. Some of the file folders are higher than the tabs. It doesn't really work well.

I only gave this a five because there wasn't a 10!

The software did crash, but I googled the problem, found a downloadable fix, and it fixed it.

We now have the smartest filing system we ever had.

The software is brilliantly thought out; anyone should be able to use it.

These tabs work well for easy identification from above as the label is 3 dimensional - viewable from top, back and front. I didn't know these existed until I saw one in person and wow they made quite a difference in being able to see and locate a file. The packaging doesn't show off the great look of these labels and they are somewhat hard to find in the store. The colors on the tabs are determined by you so you can pick whatever shade you want for each tab to be printed out. The only small issue I have is that the color choices in the software look different than the shade that is printed out so you have to play with it a little to get the shade you want.

This is a very good product, it keeps my files looking very professional and neat. Files are easy to find.
