Comments about SMK-Link VP4590 RemotePoint Ruby Presentation Remote Control:

I do several presentations every week, so this presenter was going to get a work out. I love the features of this unit - laser, mouse, slide control, scroll, etc. It's a great size, fairly decent laser (red), and comfortable to use. buttons are user friendly and mouse is easy to operate (which I love). It has good range - no problems from 50' away from laptop. Unfortunately, last week when I went to use it, the mouse was uncontrollable. I tried to reset it, but it kept doing the same thing. It would move on its own and caused unexpected movements, so I had to resort to an old controller and figured I needed to return it for a new one. I decided to use it again tonight, just to give it another try and it worked flawlessly. Not sure what was going on, but hopefully it will not go on the "fritz" again.
