Comments about Stanley Bostitch Heavy-Duty Staples; 1/4:
This is an excellent stapler for businesses that have a need for some large capacity, or drawing stapling requirements (if you know how to use it properly).
First things first; this is not the type of stapler that you can pound with your fist and expect it to work. Simply put - this stapler must be used with a smooth, even, and fluid downward pressure until the handle bottoms out.
My experience is that with this stapler (and I have used this stapler for stapling up to a 150 drawings at one time) is that you will experience almost two sensations of the handle movement: the first of which is the subtle resistance of the staple entering thru the sheets of paper. Important - If you stop just after this first resistance point you will get nothing but jams, since the staple does not complete its full path through the paper (and is still in the chamber of the stapler itself). The second area of resistance is felt when the staple completes its path through the paper and bottoms out, bending into its final shape.
This two stage feel and the smooth movement of the handle all the way down is the key to making this stapler work correctly every time. I hope this helps.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
