Not Durable At All

Comments about SteelMaster Lit-Ning Economical Metal Bookends; 9 High Backs, Black:
Bought these to hold 2 phone books in place. Bent right over. Very flimsy. Better off spending more money and get a product that's durable.

About Me Quality Oriented
This is a terrible product. Forget using these for anything with measurabe mass. They're constructed of 22 ga steel and are sure to leave your phone books, magazines or any other loosely bound material falling off your desk.
NOT heavy-gauge

I purchased these to hold a binder, some catalogs and my phone book. Put them together and let go, the bookend promptly bent over and everything fell to the floor.

Does the Job, American Made
By Mark
from Happy Valley!
First, it's American made and that always makes me happy. These work well and don't seem to move around, There is a foam type material on the bottom to add some grip. The bottom is also nice since there is a flat piece going in both directions, so it is less likely to tip over (one part goes under the books and the other part acts as a counter balance which you can see in the picture). I have them on top of my fridge holding about 10 cookbooks and it is doing what I expected it to.
