The center "punch" broke within 3 weeks. In order to get a replacement - which to date I don't have - I had to contact Swingline. Staples could not assist me on a replacement or a credit. I would recommend a Staples product because if it breaks they will replace it..no hassle

I work for a CPA firm which handles a lot of paper and this paper punch has always worked well for me. I have to use very little effort when having to punch through stacks of paper. Works so well that I purchased another one for another staff person.

Many hole punches can punch through, but don't retract well when there are a lot of chads to clear. The action on the lever helps pull the punches back out of the holes regardless of the thickness of the material being punched. I am very happy with this product.

Used this punch for many years at a previous job, was great, very easy to use. Bought another one when moved to new job, but after 4 months the middle punch jammed and now that piece just hangs there doing nothing. No product support from Swingline. I hate to give it only 3 stars because it is perfect when it works, but breaking 4 months in is not acceptable. I didn't have this problem with the last one I used for many years of the same model.

Middle punch head sometimes doesn't work

It looks and feels sturdy, but from early on the middle punch head sometimes wouldn't work, in which case it only punches 2 holes. If you fiddle with the middle knob long enough eventually it would work.
