Love this desk!!!!

About Me Budget Shopper
We just got this desk and we LOVE it! After trying so many laptop desks that sit on the lap or hovers over the lap, this desk is heaven for sitting on the couch (or in a chair or in bed). It keeps the laptop off of my lap so the heat doesn't overwhelm me. The height is adjustable so it works for everyone in the house. It also angles both ways so it's so easy to use no matter where you are. If you find yourself using your laptop at home and struggle with the heat, the angle, the arm that falls asleep, look no further.

Compact Laptop Table

Works for what we need it to do.
Awful Quality, Poor Design

About Me Quality Oriented
We bought a different manufacturer's table and it works much, much better. The adjustments on this table are at fixed intervals, all too high without using a task chair, which defeats the purpose of using the comfortable chair or sofa with this laptop table. Many of the metal parts did not line up and had to be bent to fit. Very poor quality control. [$] down the toilet!

A stylish cart at a great price.
Good inexpensive table

About Me Value Oriented
Performs quite well for the money. A little difficult to maneuver on carpet. Both table surfaces clamp in place with bolts with knob heads. There is nothing to prevent the table from dumping the computer on the floor if these are not clamped tightly and there are no preset positions. Still the table will work well when handled by reasonably careful adults.

It's Easy to Assemble, Stable, & Useful
By OmMani

As mentioned in other reviews, these wheels have little plastic lever locks that lock (actually, fall down into the locked position) on their own when you move the table. It's frustrating because once a wheel locks, you risk tipping the whole table when you go to move it.There is no design feature that keeps your power cord from getting tangled in the wheels. So if the locked wheel doesn't tip your table, a power cord tangle just might. However, on the plus side, while this item is shipped unassembled, every last little piece is clearly marked--putting this together was almost too easy (they even included a little screwdriver for you!).We use this in bed and it will adjust to a very low bed and a very high bed (we recently upgraded our mattress). It is also so very nice to have something to hold the laptop up off of the bed so that your laptop has a hard surface to set on (i.e. the bed linens aren't suffocating your laptop's cooling fan).Lastly, as far as the wheels self-locking, we don't actually move the table around so much that it's a huge drawback, (plus we are moving it around on carpet, which may account for extra jiggling which may be causing the locks to self-engage). I am giving this table 4 stars because the "mahogany" finish is a bit cheap-looking and because of the wheel issues (-1 star).

Good for the money
By techwriter1
Delivered yesterday. [...] I am usually put off by products requiring assembly but the instructions made this one look easy to assemble... & it was. I was able to assemble it this morning while participating in a conference call, answering email & burning CDs.After sitting here all afternoon & using my work laptop, I am now able to sit comfortably in my desk chair & use my 17-inch personal laptop. Since I have a desktop machine on my desk, previously I had to work w/ my laptop on my lap... uncomfortable and hot! I can tilt this desk for a natural hand position. I did have to adjust the height to the absolutly lowest position... down to the base piece. Otherwise, it would be too high for me.It feels a little flimsy but it's sturdy enough to hold the laptop quite well. NOTE: Keep the desk over the long leg... otherwise it can tip over. The castors work as they should... even on carpet. My biggest disappointment is the finish. When I read mahogany finish, I translated that into a real wood product. I should have realized that it would have cost quite a bit more.I am very pleased w/ this desk and will definitely recommend it to others.
