Comments about Solo® Laptop Slim Attache 14.1:
Overall, I would consider this case to be well-made and a decent value. I was looking for a case that would fit my Samsung Series 7 15.6" laptop, which has a smaller profile than many with a similar screen size. In my shopping, I found several cases for a 14.1" screen size which fit my laptop like a glove (Allante sleeve) without being too tight, or as in the case of this bag, fit the laptop with enough room for accessories without so much extra space that the laptop would possibly shuffle around in.
Now, as to the cons, and why I anticipate returning the case: Firstly, while described as having pockets on the front and back to stow away the handles and convert to a sleeve type of profile, there is no back pocket. I must have gotten careless after looking at too many bags and just overlooked this feature, which did exists on a 15.6" size Solo bag. The loose handle can be folded over the top of the case and tucked into the front pocket, but there is no fastener to secure the pocket and keep the handle in place. Moreover, that would then inhibit access to the laptop via the zipper, which is undesirable.
The other con is that the flange around the interior that is to protect the laptop from the zipper is not padded. It is more like just the fabric edges surrounding the side padding has been extended a little, so as to offer a flange to protect the edges of the laptop from being scuffed by the zipper...goal achieved...yet offers little protection if the case is bumped/dropped on the top edge. This is especially true at the very corners, although I admit my laptop being larger than a 14.1" screen is also a very close fit at those corners, contributing to the problem. Had there been padding more of the amount I'd prefer to see, it may well have kept this 15.6" laptop fitting into the 14.1" laptop bag.
If I can't find a better alternative, I may keep this case, but nearly on principle alone, I feel I shouldn't pay the price that I did for a feature that is missing.
Bottom line, I would recommend only at a lower price or at least with caution that features are not exactly as described.
From the photos I provided, I attempted to show a little of how the flange along the zipper fits for the size of my laptop, but the emphasis is on showing that the case clearly lacks a back pocket for stowage of the handle.
