Sorry to differ from the glowing reviews, but I bought a boxful of these "bargains" but came away with stained hands and a ruined shirt -- all after minimal use! I returned them today without any hassle whatsoever from Staples (I kept my receipt), and bought some similar pens of another brand. Caveat emptor!

I have bought uniball pens for our employees for a number of years. Overall I have been very pleased with them. I have had over a dozen pens that the miniature ball came out of the point of the pen rendering them useless (however, that was only a dozen out of hundreds of the pens I have purchased.) The pens are guaranteed though and will be replaced if that happens. Lately, myself and other employees have noted that the ink supply in the pens does not seem to last as long as it used to requiring me to purchase a lot more pens.

You can't go wrong with this price. I tend to write a lot by hand and ballpoints cramp up my hands too much. Fountain pens are great but the ink doesn't go with every type of paper. So I bought these and they write very smooth, dark lines, and very consistent. Not my favorite pen in the drawer, but the price is too good to pass up for these types of pens. I do prefer the thicker UniBall Sanford rollerball pens -- the performance is identical (as is the ink, I believe) -- it's just a different style barrel. This one is too thin for my hands.

Sometimes I take a lot of notes and wanted a pen that would be comfortable yet inexpensive. The Onyx Pen is the solution. Writes great, glides smooth and feels comfortable. I just wish it was refillable at the same price point.

I use the Onyx fine point pens for a variety of reasons, and have for many years.
They last well, they are comfortable to write with, and are an excellent value for the price.
My job requires that I complete lots of forms and the fine point of the Onyx pens helps me do a neat job, even when the writing space is small. It also reproduces well on photocopies and scanners.
I also find it is great for doing quick sketeches or diagrams. And truth be told - it is great for doodling when those conference calls run long.
