We have a second computer, which we use as a Treasurer for a non-profit agency, so we wanted to be certain that we had back-up. To help get it set up, we downloaded the 70-page handbook, which really helped. When we travel, we take the My Book with us, as it is very compact and takes up little room. It is extremely quiet. We go to Florida as seasonal visitors and always take it with us.

We also take many photographs, especially of our new great grandchildren. We treasure those and certainly do not want to lose them, if our 3-year old computer crashes.

Works great as a backup, however I am used to working off of my external as my regular hard drive. For some reason I haven't figured out how to do that with this drive. It won't let me save my art work onto it unless I drag and drop. Since I have another, more portable drive I carry with me on trips, I don't mind that problem. I use this drive as a backup to my other drive and computer.
I do like how easy it is to transfer from my computer or other hard drive onto it. For someone who is not overly computer savvy, that part works great for me.

This 2 TB external hard drive is a great addition to my computing setup. I have been using a 500 GB Western Digital external hard drive on another of my computers for several years, and it has performed perfectly. It was based on this prior experience that that dictated my purchase of the new unit. I am perfectly satisfied with the new 2 TB unit; it has freed-up a lot of space on my "C" drive and allows my computer to run more efficiently. Thank you.
