About Me Tech Savvy
I've been struggling with passport type of hard drives. They seem to fill up very quickly. I have a little photo business and need a lot of storage space. This is compact and efficient and fast.
Good product

Setup with Time Machine was trivial. I now have access to disk images as well as older versions of every document. Previously we used Carbonite for backup, and when we had to restore after a disk failure it was a fiasco.

About Me High-end Shopper
The price was perfect for 2T. And, I used a 20% discount coupon. This unit is attractive and well made. It comes with white cables which match my MAC cables, and discriminate themselves from all the other (black) cables. My problem with ANY storage drive is that it will eventually fail. There is no warning. It might be two years, three years, or even four. But, you will not get an invitation prior to the failure. So, I still use TWO of these devices to back up EVERYTHING all year long. And I usually buy insurance from Staples... just in case.It is simply too expensive to try to recover information on these units when they do fail.
