Bought this product to back up my hard drive so I could reformat my laptop, very easy to use and was plug and play ready. I have even taken it to work to back up my work files too. Easily portable and can fit in my purse to travel.

Bought this because the clerk said it was easy to use and came already installed with all the software needed. So not true. Cannot use it at all. We are going to have to pay someone to install the program needed before we can even use it. We are extremely dissatisfied and disappointed as this product costs less at other places.

I use this primarily for down loading memory sticks (cards) from the cameras. I carry a notebook and once the cards are off loaded to it, I also save the images on the external Hard Drive. If I have time, I will also copy them to CDs or DVDs. Mechanical devices do fail, but with additional copies, I feel confident that I have enough copies that I am fairly safe. The events that I photograph can not be re-scheduled, so I don't take chances.

This was used for the Sound of a Live DVD to Transfer all the tracks onto for an hour and a half concert, by Chaz Depaolo International Blues / Rock Guitarist, Singer, Song Writer and New York State Blues HALL of FAME. This is being used to Mix and Master the Sound of that DVD. Great Purchase and Quality.
