Comments about Western Digital Hard Drives; My Book Live, Personal Cloud Storage, 2TB:
cannot get it configed, supplied setup is of no help. WD support is also no help. WD techs will not communicate verberly, they don't flow up on the problem, all they want is to add a fee to help. It seem to be JUNK

About Me Tech Savvy
I purchased two of these last summer and love them. I recently puchased two more as gifts for family members. I love digital photograpy and ALL of my photos can be accessed from my cell phone from anywhere in seconds. I also use mine for backing up my business every day. I use the automatic back up for 3 desk tops and 1 laptop. The one that I purchased for my brother has not been as much of a joy for him as his internet service is awful (.19 when he should have 3.0), but it still functions great for backing up his laptop.
This is an excellent device

About Me Some Technical Knowledge
I am using this as my own personal cloud, because I can access it from any device, my pc's, my iPad's or my iPhone. It is fast and easy to use. Any cons that I had were easily overcome, and they were just mentioned for truthfulness, and size, it is robust, and that is a good thing. I would recommend this product to anyone, WD makes excellent products at reasonable prices. As far as setup goes, just follow the directions, and you will not go wrong. My device just sits here now, and I can access it from anywhere, literally, anywhere in the world, so it is my own personal cloud, and it can be yours too, not gigabytes, but terrabytes.
Great external drive.

Works as advertised.

Smoothly works with 3 PC's, 2 iPads and 1 iPod sharing files, duplicates plus backups. Be patient with initial installation and setup. Call the support center if needed. While it's not exactly plug and play, you'll be alright if you download the manual and simply follow directions. This is my third try (two other company's equipment I never could get to effectively work) and apparently the third time is a winner.I do recommend.

this is the second one of these I bought. The first crashed. it is currently at data recover courtesy of wd. I like this product because of its remote access features and android app. First one might have been a fluke but we will see how it holds up and what happens if and when I get my data back and if and when I receive my replacement.
I like it!

Takes some time to get it set up; but once done it does what it's suppose to do: (keeps a mirror image of my laptop and offers itself for backup on the whole network. So far, so good - VBG...
