I had purchased a "paid" stamp for about half the price of this one and it only lasted a few months before the rubber stamp itself started to disintegrate. Although this stamp seems a bit expensive, it is very well made and seems as though it will remain a tool on my desk for months to come. The link on Quill's website showing how to re-ink the pad is MUCH more informative than the instructions that come with the stamp.

I pay our company bills through billpay at our bank. I must send out 30 payments a week. I used to have a check stub to attached to the invoices when paid. But with billpay, I needed another way to show date paid and comment without having to hand write each one. This was my solution. You don't get any instructions with how to put the stamp together, but I figured it out and am using this every week. Saves time.
