I chose this pencil because the engineers wanted a "fat" grip. The metal "sleeve" which guides the lead keeps falling out while writing. 10 of the 12 in the box were faulty.

I love the original Z-Grip pencils. They worked great. These newer "Max" ones are great at first - I love the large barrel - but I've had several out of my first box break, where the metal point just snaps right off the pencil. Maybe I press too hard - I don't know - but the Z-Grip standard pencils didn't do that. If I can find them, I'm going back to the standard line, at least for the pencils.

The pencil feels great in your hand. It could have a bigger eraser. And you cannot put another eraser on the top of it. Over-all very well made. Very easy to use.

Zebra brand product is my favorite, especially the Z-grip line. The pens are smooth and bold. The wide barrel pencils work great for me when I am taking notes at school. And the best part is that Zebra brand is affordable for anyone.
