The founder of four community-focused startups, including Quistic, which offers online career management courses. She began her career as a professional beach volleyball player in Los Angeles, went to grad school, then worked for several small software companies before founding her first startups, Math.com and eCitydeals. After relocating to New York City, she found herself a block from the World Trade Center when it fell, and she decided to become a full-time writer so she wouldn’t have to leave her apartment. She published the bestselling book Brazen Careerist: The New Rules for Success in 2007, and shared career advice for Generation Y on Brazen Careerist and her personal blog, penelopetrunk.com. She now lives on a farm in southwest Wisconsin, where she homeschools her sons.
