There are several things to consider when buying shipping tape. If you’re shipping boxes, you want a hot melt adhesive. The width of the tape is important too. If you typically send large boxes, you’re going to want a 3-inch tape. It provides better adhesion and security. For smaller boxes, 2-inch tape should be fine. Tape thickness matters as well. For packages that are less than ten pounds, a 1.6 mil tape is suitable. For packages between ten and twenty pounds, you’re better off with a 1.9 mil tape. For anything bigger than twenty pounds, go with a 3.0 mil tape.

What’s more, they come in many different sizes so you’re sure to find one to suit your needs. Check out our selection at Quill.com!

The shipping boxes you buy will, of course, depend on the items you send. You’ll definitely want to consider height, width and depth. That’s easy enough. Just make sure to leave adequate room for packaging materials. But beyond that, you should consider the construction of the box itself. Corrugated boxes are designed to take a beating and still keep it together. For the biggest jobs, use double-walled corrugated boxes. They provide added protection and maximum stacking strength.

Choose from our comprehensive assortment of office desks from leading manufacturers including Bush® and Hon®. First decide how you'll most use your desk (i.e. primarily computer work or for meeting with clients), and then choose the best design and shape. U-shaped tend to require more space and therefore offer lots of workspace. Also, they're typically used for reception areas and lend themselves to more privacy especially when facing the door. The space-saving L-shaped usually makes for an efficient work station that typically includes storage compartments like file drawers and shelves, allowing for computer and desk work simultaneously.

When it comes to choosing a file cabinet, look first at what type of documents you'll mostly be storing. Will they be the typical letter-sized or more of an odd-sized, 11x17 or metric shape? Look for features such as locks and casters. Next figure how often you'll place files in and take them out. If you plan to file often (i.e. doctor's office), go for open-shelf files. If you put files in rarely but retrieve them often, opt for a lateral file cabinet (i.e. student records).

Before shopping for a bookcase (or any other piece of furniture for that matter), take measurements...for bookcases, it's all about wall space and the overall size of the office in which it will reside.
