It's nice, but matching hutch won't work

About Me Midrange Shopper
If you're ONLY buying the desk, you'll be fine - if you don't mind spending 3-4 hours assembling it. If you buy the matching hutch, however, you're in for a nasty surprise when you discover the hutch is about an inch wider than the desk, which then requires that you get creative with your carpentry skills in order to make it work. (Go to the matching hutch to see my review and solution) Directions for assembling the desk are pretty easy to follow, although I did find that parts "N" and "V" were cross-labeled. Also - the desk is so heavy that by the time you're halfway through the assembly process it's nearly impossible to move. If you plan on putting it flat against a wall (as I did), you will find it handy to install the front panels ("F") a little before the directions call for them, so that you can put it where you intend it to go AND THEN complete the assembly process.

We moved in our new home which has a very large office, so I purchased this desk and bookcase to add to my same furniture had purchased one year ago which was the 2 drawer filing cabinet and hutch, credenza and hutch.

Worthless piece of junk
By OnlyBuyWhatINeedNotWhatIWant

After 2.5 years of owning this, I felt compelled to write a review. After only a month, the center drawer fell apart. As of today, most of the fake wood laminate has peeled or chipped off, the cardboard drawer bottoms have fallen out and the hardware for the drawer handles have fallen off. I am very dissapointed the craftmanship of this peice, and would gladly have paid more for a real hardwood desk.
Assemble Document very confusing

Assemble document is very confusing. With few additional steps adding in the document will help customer saving lot of time. Document should be framed assuming layman is assembling the table.

Easy to assemble, very attractive

The foam paper stuck to the desktop and marred the finish on the front right corner. The finish is far too thin. Used different polishes to try to correct problem, no luck. Still a great product.

Replaced an old desk. Will use this desk as I did last for all of my paper work. Great drawers.

Good looking desk. Sees sturdy. Would like to replace the center drawer with a key board drawer. Found the 800 helpful during assembly. Did not wait a long time for an answer.
A beautiful desk.

It is a lot of work to assemble this desk, however it is well worth the time. The look is beautiful. The drawers slide effortlessly. The molding adds that finishing touch. The top has plenty of work space. A great product.
