My wife and love the Bush Tuxedo L-Desk. If you hoard paperwork you will need a separate file storage unit but for quick and easy access to all your everyday files and office supplies that you would need for a home office, this desk is for you. There is enough room on the desktop for a monitor, speakers, and to the right I have a brother multi-function printer. The fit and finish is very good. The assembly took about 2-3 hours. Just follow the directions and you will be fine. Hiding all the wires took a little creativity but I didn't need to cut any extra holes to make it look neat. Finally, as long as you aren't expecting a $2000 mahogany desk I think you will be happy with this desk.

I am 80 years old and was able to put the entire desk together without help. The desk is setting on carpet and was difficult to move into place without help. In addition, the drilled holes for the handles were not well aligned resulting in some of the handles being uneven.

The desk, once assembled is a very nice piece or furniture. It appears to be sturdy with ample storage space, looks great, and not awfuly expensive. For the assembly process, one needs to take ones time and exercise patience. It took me several hours working alone and trying to be careful to use the correct part. Example, using the correct screw is vital in avoiding problems later in the process. Once done, you will be happy with your choice.

Not bad,could easily have been better

I usually don't shop by catalog but was having trouble finding a relatively small L shaped desk. I like the color, size, and feel of this desk. However, the front of the desk has an ugly, unfinished looking panel on it, as if it was suppose to be against a wall and not for public viewing. And the cabinet drawer on the right side of the L does not open for files but rather, is a door that opens out and allows for storage, similar to the other side that has the tower space (which is useless to me because of my laptop). So filing space is very limited and for [$], I think the maker could have easily designed the front of the desk to look finished and provided add'l filing space. I paid $80 for assembly which was worth every dime. It took an experienced service man over 3 hours to put it together.

When I first recieved the product I had to have the staples guy and myself unload the desk/hutch/File Cabinet into my house. I had one other person help me set it up and it took a total of 8 hours to set-up everyone. I highly recommend having a small power drill or screwdriver. Without it you hands might be hurting the next day. The desk came together very well. The direction are easy to understand and I enjoyed putting it together. You will need help!
