Peninsula Behavioral Health (PBH) offers youth and family counseling, substance use disorder treatment, community support and other related services. We got the chance to chat with Brenda Gilchrist, Executive Administrator, about what Quill and the Quill Rewards program mean to her organization.

Now, thanks to the Quill Rewards program, the center also features a sewing machine, where participants can work with a staff member to mend their clothing or just learn this valuable skill. It’s been a great benefit to the center already.
PBH has also used rewards points to outfit their agency vehicles that transport participants to and from important appointments. They redeemed points for six sturdy car mats to keep rides clean and comfortable.
Rewards have helped with facility needs as well. Their maintenance team had a leaf blower that had seen better days and was slowing the team down. Another way Brenda loves to use rewards is for staff appreciation. Every year, they have a staff banquet that Brenda says is “a blessing to watch” as staff members are recognized for all the hard work they put in every day.
“I am always able to provide at least 10 prizes [for our staff banquet] from Quill Rewards that we raffle off,” Brenda told us. “People get so excited because they’re really good prizes.”
Brenda told us she’s been able to redeem points for items such as tablets, cameras, hand mixers, coffee makers, foot spas, dart boards, backpacks, and more – things people really want.
