Different types of vending machines in a variety of sizes

These machines offer popular, brand-name bottled or canned drinks, chips, candy, and crackers, or combination items that complement other office breakroom supplies like snacks and water. Office vending machines may be refrigerated for dairy items, stocked with frozen foods, or offer hot beverages, including hot water for tea or instant coffee.

The machines come in several different sizes, ranging from compact models that fit alongside office refrigerators to jumbo models that cater for large-scale employee work groups. Tabletop snack vending machines are even available for customer reception or waiting areas. Most machines are constructed of steel, with durable powder-coated finishes.

The convenience of vending machines

Most machines are electronic with digital LED screens and illuminated product displays. They come in wide ADA-compliant glass fronts, and they're eco-friendly, drawing very little power. They also offer other conveniences:

  • Individual electronic pricing
  • Coin, $1 bill, and $5 bill collection, including bill validators
  • Credit and debit card slots
  • Responsive touchpads, including Braille keys
  • Accounting modes to monitor sales

The ease of supplying office vending machines

Keeping machines supplied is even easier than maintaining other food service equipment for the office breakroom. Vending machine doors unlock and open easily from the front, and they have slide-out trays so you don’t have to reach in to load items. Many machine trays can also be re-configured quickly in height and depth increments to accept different-size snacks and drinks. Certain vending machines also come with iVend™ sensor systems to ensure that employees get what they pay for or are re-credited for mis-vends. Dual augurs that put items in the proper position are also standard in the machines.

Numerous capacities for various snacks and drinks

The many different machine sizes give office managers a lot of leeway in figuring out exactly what their employees need. Some snack vending machines have a minimum of six different selections. Others, however, offer up to 32 and 40 different snacks, totaling almost 400 snacks stocked in the machine altogether. Combination office vending machines can hold up to 124 snack or food items and 180 beverages. Drink machines may offer up to 10 selections of 240 bottles or 500 cans or a combination of both, including a combination of 12-ounce cans and 16.9-, 20-, and 24-ounce bottles of soda, fruit juice, sports drinks, or brand-name water to supplement what’s available from office water dispensers.
