Fabric Tackboards
(4 Products)How long has the bulletin board been with us? We don't have a definitive answer, but one thing we do know is that it hadn't really changed at all until the relatively-recent invention of the fabric tackboard. These boards are durable, extremely diversified, and answer to a great number of general and specific applications—as well as all kinds of space requirements.

The fabric tackboard has its origins in cork bulletin boards. In fact, you might consider the tackboard as the natural successor to its cork-based predecessor: it's altogether more robust, more customizable, and many models feature radius corners—instead of sharp edges—in order to better complement your existing office décor.
The bulletin board is a perennial communication tool. People and organizations have been using it to broadcast news and information for years and years, and it had hardly evolved until modern manufacturers came around with new ideas and gave us a new version of an age-old concept.
Some are stand-alone pieces of wall-mounted furniture while others come as additions to existing office furniture and partitions. When used as additions in this way, they contribute to reducing the chaos sometimes associated with shared work areas, and provide a personal space for employees to post things.
A few examples of fabric tackboards
One prime example is the Bush Industries Serengetti Night Upholstery Fabric Tackboard. It comes in a multitude of size options from small to large, to cater to any space requirement. That being said, its 20.5" x 61.42" model offers particularly attractive dimensions for a multitude of uses. With its solid GSA-approved construction, it mounts easily onto any wall with the included hardware, and meets ANSI/BIFMA standards.
For its part, the Viztex 18" x 24" fabric bulletin board comes with a smart-looking aluminium frame and features durable self-healing material for maximum durability. The mounting screws are concealed by the attractive anodised aluminium encasing, and the whole thing is mounted on a sturdy zinc backing that spells quality and maximum stability.
And let's not forget about tackboards with antibacterial/antimicrobial materials. These surfaces resist moisture, mold, mildew, bacteria and chemicals. And there's no complicated upkeep to worry about: the durable vinyl can be easily cleaned with household cleaners, soap and water, and has an attractive texture that serves to hide pinholes.
An eco-friendly alternative
One surprising addition in this category is Best-Rite's Euro-trim Rubber-Tak Bulletin Board, which features recycled materials, a stylish black panel and aluminum frame. There are two practical models, one measuring 3' x 2' and the other a full 8' x 4', so you've got a choice of options depending on what you need to accomplish. The Rubber-Tak surface is made from 100% post-industrial and post-consumer recycled rubber, which means it offers unparalleled durability and resiliency. And that's not all: it's also moisture and chemical resistant—so it won't support the growth of mold, mildew or bacteria—and offers desirable sound and shock-absorbent qualities.
