All provide a stable, rigid structure for holding between two and six shelves, many with a weight rating of 180 to 200 pounds. Many steel bookshelves come in black powder coating or enameling, which suits just about any decor, whether traditional or contemporary. Besides black bookcases, many other colors are also available, including different shades of white and vibrant tones like red, yellow, green, and blue. Like many metal desks and other pieces of office furniture, metal bookshelves also come in stylish, traditional shades like burgundy, forest green, charcoal, and gray.
