Description
The Ubiquiti UniFi PoE Over 2-Wire Retrofit Extender (UACC-Retrofit-PoE-2Wire) is a versatile solution designed to extend Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities over existing twisted-pair or coaxial cables, making it ideal for retrofit scenarios where re-cabling is impractical. This kit includes a transmitter and receiver pair: the transmitter features a PoE++ input and a 2-wire output, while the receiver offers a PoE/PoE+ output and a 2-wire input. Both units come with 2-wire to BNC adapters, facilitating seamless integration with coaxial infrastructure. The system supports data rates up to 85 Mbps and can deliver PoE+ power over distances up to 400 meters, depending on the cable type and quality. With a maximum power consumption of 3W (excluding PoE output), it ensures energy-efficient operation. Built with polycarbonate enclosures and equipped with ESD/EMP protection, the extender is designed for durability and reliability in various environments. This solution is particularly beneficial for extending network connectivity to areas where installing new Ethernet cabling would be challenging or cost-prohibitive.
