Point to safety with an exit sign

Maintain strict safety standards with strategically placed exit signs. In times of chaos or during a crisis, exit signage and other safety signs help avert accidents and injuries. Traditional exit signs feature bright red lettering on a white background, or a reverse color scheme, to provide stark contrast for maximum visibility. Modern designs include green on white or white on green combinations, with the color green signifying a safe place of exit. For instant recognition, an exit door sign may also come in pictogram form using standardized images.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to avoid costly fines or possible lawsuits. Along with exit signs certified by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Quill also carries a large inventory of safety storage, first aid kits, and janitorial supplies for varying workplace needs.

Lead the way with properly lit exit signage

Place an exit sign within your premises to prepare for unexpected events. It’s vital to conduct regular inspections to ensure exit signs receive sufficient illumination from a constant light source. Whether you prefer externally or internally lit designs, a highly visible exit door sign helps building occupants, guests, or visitors navigate their way out to safety. In places without a reliable electrical or mechanical power supply, photoluminescent exit signs offer a practical alternative. They collect energy from ambient lighting, and glow in the dark, which makes them easy to spot in sudden blackout situations.

Types of safety sign materials

The sign industry works with various materials to deliver reliable indoor and outdoor safety solutions. Each material used is suitable for certain settings or conditions. Choose from popular options, including:

• Vinyl: High rigidity and chemical resistance withstand harsh environments for long-lasting use
• Aluminum: Lightweight yet sturdy composition inhibits rust formation for excellent protection against corrosion
• Polyethylene: Superior tensile strength handles high-impact situations for structural integrity

Most safety sign materials undergo treatment and finishing to ensure printed images or text resist fading and remain visible. Get exit signs and other safety supplies from Quill to promote workplace safety.
