Types of office accent lighting
There are several types of options when it comes to office accent lighting. This type of light directs beams to specific areas. The most common type is the torchiere, which points light upward toward the ceiling, where it spreads out. Torchiere lamps light up a large area of the room. Down bridge lamps do the opposite, sending light downwards. Use these lamps to help brighten up reading areas. Dual torch and down bridge lamps have two lamps in one that offer lighting in both directions for full coverage. For lighting that is subtle, consider tower lamps. Different floor lamp features
Whether choosing a floor lamp for a home office or place of business, there are several different features or lighting accessories that affect use.

Choosing a lamp shade

For width, make sure the shade sides sit at least 3 inches from the light bulb to prevent burning.
